Packaging

Don't spend two weeks on a video nobody clicks.

If no one makes it through the front door, every hour spent planning, editing, and reviewing is wasted. Work the packaging with your team and make those hours count.

Titles & thumbnails

Pick the title and thumbnail with the whole team.

The title and thumbnail decide who clicks. Put your concepts, final thumbnails, and titles in the project and let the team, or clients, vote on the pick, long before the video goes live.

Settle the packaging before you publish.

Tracking links

See what each video actually brings in.

Put the URLs in the description and they become tracking links on their own. Counts come back to the project, so you can compare videos by the outcome, not just how they did in the feed.

Performance that maps to the business.

After publish

CTR not hitting? Backups on hand.

You picked your best, and two days later it's not performing how you hoped. Your backup titles and thumbnails, and every option you weighed up, are still on the project, so you swap in the next one instead of starting over.

Give a slow start a second shot.

Frequently asked questions

What happens to the pairings I didn't publish?
They stay on the project. If the first package isn't performing how you expected, grab the next title and thumbnail and switch. You don't start over.
Is this YouTube Test & Compare, or live A/B testing?
No. Packaging is a decision you make before you upload, and a backup you can switch later. Your team, and optionally clients, vote on titles and thumbnails in Clipflow. We don't run YouTube's live experiments from here.
Can the team vote without sending it to a client?
Yes. Likes and comments work on the project. Share links are optional, for when you want outside eyes without giving someone a Clipflow login.
Can clients vote on packaging?
Yes. Share a link so they can react and comment on title and thumbnail options without creating an account.
Do tracking links work in YouTube descriptions?
Yes. Create tracking links from the URLs in your description, or add them by hand. They use fllw.li by default, or a custom domain if you've set one up. Click counts come back into Clipflow.
Do I need packaging if I don't publish to YouTube?
You don't necessarily need the Packaging tab unless you also like to curate your profile grid and set covers on TikTok and Instagram. Projects, review, and scheduling still work either way.
Does picking a title rename the project?
No. The project keeps the working title you created it with, so you can still find it on the board. The packaging title is the one you'd publish.
